Welcome from the Department Chair

Welcome to the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University. The faculty and staff of the AVS Department are a highly talented and enthusiastic group of men and women who are dedicated to your success. We offer the highest quality education with numerous hands-on experiences, in a creative and nurturing environment. Students meet with their faculty academic advisors frequently and together design a program best-tailored to the individual student?s needs. The Department has five affiliated farms (beef, dairy, poultry, swine and equine) close to campus, and many up-to-date research laboratories for conducting undergraduate research, honors projects, etc. The AVS Department has a large number of active student clubs that provide peer support and social interactions. We look forward to your acceptance by Clemson University and your admittance to The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
