Information for Prospective Graduate Students

Prospective graduate students must:...
- Complete the admission application and financial aid forms. Applications with a $50 nonrefundable fee should be received no later than five weeks prior to registration.
- Have three professional references submit completed evaluation forms
- Provide to the AVS Graduate Studies Chair a one-page written narrative of interests and plans for using yur graduate degree.
Students interested in entering the AVS Graduate Program should have an undergraduate education in the
Agricultural and Life Sciences. Student transcripts should show evidence of a minimum 3.0 GPA with core courses
in Animal Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, and Biochemistry. The combined GRE verbal and
quantitative scores should be a minimum 1000, and the student should score 4.5 or above on the GRE written
portion.
