 Profile

Dr. Janis Miller is an Associate Professor of Management Science in the Department of Management, College of Business, Clemson University. She holds a B.S. degree in Secondary Education (Chemistry, Mathematics, Jr. High Science) from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Education. After five years of teaching, the first two at Sturgeon R-V Schools in Missouri and the last three at Matshekge Hill School, Bobonong, Botswana, Africa, she managed a small bakery in Serowe, Botswana, Africa for six months. After more than three years in Africa, she returned to the University of Missouri and completed an MBA and a PhD in Operations Management with minors in industrial Engineering and Corporate Finance. At Clemson University since 1990, Janis currently teaches International Business Management, Service Operations, Statistics and Decision Modeling.
