Visiting Artist Lecture by Angela Piehl

Angela Piehl is Assistant Professor of Drawing/Painting/Digital Arts at Oklahoma State University. Her sketching process is to build small still life arrangements emulating her mass media sources (lifestyle magazines) and then photograph them digitally. She paints these dissimilar elements utilizing her photographs and abstracting them creating a tentative and shifting, but cohesive image while subtly critiquing painting as a creative medium.

Location: Lee Hall Lecture Hall 100
