Projects

The CCGC recently finished an eighteen-month study for the City and County of Greenville, South Carolina related to redevelopment initiatives for the Reedy River corridor. The CCGC was presented the 2002 Outstanding Planning Project award in the ultijurisdictional category by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association for its work on the project.

Current projects include:

A survey of Land Evaluation and Site Assessment methods used by jjurisdictions nationwide, with New Mexico State University

A review of local land use planning techniques in South Carolina, for the Municipal Association of South Carolina, the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League, and the South Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association

A Sustainable Universities project to improve signage and shelter for the Clemson University bus system

A research project funded by the South Carolina Department of Transportation studying the impacts of land use patterns on transportation and air quality
