Dr. Daryl Wiesman's (Ph.D., Florida State University) focus is Organizational Communication, Small Group and Team Communication and Performance Management.  He prepares his students to make meaningful contributions through effective communication to their chosen professions.

Dr. Wiesman was the recipient of the 2005 Southern States Communication Association Outstanding New Teacher Award and served as the Faculty Fellow for Clemson University's Office of Teaching Effectiveness and Innovation.

Dr. Wiesman's research centers on communication in organizations and performance management. He studies how both individuals and self-directed work teams can improve their performance through effective communication interventions.

Dr. Wiesman is a frequent speaker and workshop leader on the Clemson University campus and off campus to many professional organizations.  His many topics include how to provide better customer service, how to improve teaching effectiveness and how to communicate more successfully in the workplace.

Dr. Wiesman received his doctoral degree in Communication at Florida State University. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Communication from Eastern Illinois University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Northern Kentucky University.
