Chris's primary academic focus is teaching. He especially enjoys working with students who are studying philosophy for the first time. Prior to Clemson, he taught at Vanderbilt University and has taught courses on ethics, medical and business ethics, the meaning of life, the history of philosophy, and logic. His research focuses on clarifying the relationship between ethics and politics in Continental philosophy, especially in Emmanuel Levinas.
