Pauline Matthey joined Clemson University in August 2012 as a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies. She received a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communication from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston IL, where she also obtained her Masters in Communication Studies.
Pauline's primary interests include organizational communication and intercultural communication. More specifically, her research focuses on issues of power and control within correctional facilities, as well as inmates' identification to the inmate code while behind bars.
Since at Clemson, Pauline has taught Introduction to Human Communication labs (COMM 1500), Public Speaking (COMM 2500), and Interpersonal Communication (COMM 3480) for the department.
