Andrew holds a BA in philosophy and physics from Beloit College and an MS and PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Virginia Tech. He specializes in American Philosophy, the Philosophy of Science and the Philosophy of Technology. Both his teaching and research center on the relationships between science, technology and society. Andrew is currently exploring the continuing relevance of the postmodern, especially in making sense of contemporary science and information technologies. His most recent publication is "Hickman, Technology, and the Postmodern Condition" (2012).
