Please know that Helen Newton will be
temporarily away from campus next fall. Amy Sawyer will be in charge
of the 2009 Declamation Contest, beginning in July. She may be reached

PLACE: Daniel Hall, Clemson University
REGISTRATION: 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., Daniel Hall
Refreshments are served on the first floor
of Daniel Hall during registration.
CONTEST: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (approximately),
Daniel Hall
FEE: $10.00 per contestant
PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE: NO
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED POSTMARKED AFTER OCTOBER 2, 2009.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
AWARDS CEREMONY: There will be one awards ceremony held as soon after
lunch as possible (approx. 1:00 p.m.) in Tillman
Hall Auditorium.
NOTE: Lunch at Harcombe Dining Hall is
about $6.50. Fast food venues are available in the Hendrix Student Center.
There is also a "Chili's Too" restaurant
in the University Union.
We acknowledge the generous contributions

year: Mrs. Noel Geoffroy, Dr. Rob Roy McGregor, Jr., Dr. Ralph Rynes,
and Mrs. Cynthia Hines. Because of their donations we have been able
to keep the registration fee the same this year.
