
MATT JOHNSON--German L&IT major (Dec. 2000), studied at the Fachhochschule Jena (Technical Univ. of Jena) for a year; now he is working as a manager for the German supermarket chain "Lidl" in Hof (tiefes Bayern!).
STEPHANIE GALLAGHER--double major in History and German (May 2002), German Club Vice Pres of last year. Currently on a one-year Fulbright Pedagogical Assistantship where she helps teach English classes at a secondary school in Gera (eastern Germany, close to Weimar and Jena). She has also started an Engl. Stammtisch.
SARAH LARSON--German L&IT major (May 2001). Like Stephanie (above), she spent one year as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant (close to Berlin) and currently has a Fulbright Internship at Telekom in Bonn.
KEVIN PARKER--Mechanical Engineering (May 2002) (did the CLIP program and had several upper level German courses); also a former German Club Vice President, worked at Daimler in the Stuttgart area in the Summer 2002 and is currently on a Master's program in Mechanical Engineering at the FachhochschuleEsslingen (Stuttgart area).
ANGELA CLINKSCALES--Architecture (May 1998). After spending one year under an all-expenses paid Congress/Bundestag grant, she stayed in Germany--in Weimar--where she is acquiring a second architecture degree. Since she's from Easley, she comes back to our area each summer/early fall and continues to impress us with her ever-more magnificent German (as she did at this year's Salatabend, the first German Club activity of this fall).
MIKEY CASHIN--German L&IT (May 2000). He currently studies International Law at duke University (M.A. prgram) and wishes to add an economics or business component. (mcashin1@yahoo.com)
