The 2004 CLIP participants
Usually offered in the 2nd summer session, the German CLIP program is a five-week, 6 credit hour intensive language class. Students earn 3 credits for Ger 202 and 3 for Ger 310, or 6 credits for Ger 310 (depending on your progress in German).
The class meets five days a week for about 6 hours (morning and afternoon classes). It includes German lunches and evening activities. All students are required not to speak English at all time.
The setting is not a typical classroom setting, but the group will watch videos, movies, explore the Internet, go on excursion, meet Germans in the Upstate.
The CLIP program is an opportunity to enhance your language skills and prepare you for study or internship abroad. While it is very intensive, almost all student praise the program.
