Laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere Moderne in Slavics, University of Bologna; MA and PhD in Italian Literature - dissertation The Endless Pursuit of Truth: Subalternity and Marginalization in Post-Neorealist Italian Film – at UNC-CH, Dept. of Romance Languages. His main interests are modern and contemporary Italian novel, history of film, semiotics, psychoanalysis and literary theory; Russian-Jewish literature (he translated from Russian into Italian the seminal novel “Confession of a Jew” by Aleksandr Melichov). Currently a Lecturer at Clemson University, where he teaches and coordinates different levels of Italian language, and Teaching Assistant during the summer at Middlebury College.
