Message from the Society President (2008):
I would like to welcome you all to the Society for International Business. In this increasingly expanding global marketplace, there is a growing demand for individuals who are able to communicate and work efficiently and effectively in this multicultural business world. The Language and International Trade major offers students a chance for just that, a B.A. degree which combines excellent international business, marketing, economics, and financial studies with an intensive study into both foreign language and culture.

The purpose of this society is to provide students with a pre-professional organization that meets bi-weekly with the purpose of helping them excel in their major and prepare them for their futures by inviting guest speakers, ranging from business representatives interested in L&IT majors to cultural awareness lectures, L&IT alumni, and other resources Clemson provides for our major. Also the meetings are forums where students of any major can come and meet other L&IT majors and exchange ideas, get information about internship questions or concerns, study abroad experiences, or any other aspect of their major they may wish to know more about.

You can join the society at any time during the semester and we welcome and encourage everyone with interest in international business to come, especially L&IT majors. Our meeting schedule is posted on this website. The society has $10 semester dues to cover food which is provided at meetings. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings!
