Japan

Kyoto is the ancient capital of Japan that is a living reminder of Japanese history in all its glory. Students will live with host families, studying at the "grass roots" level in formal classroom setings and on field trips. All participants enroll in a culture class conducted by the program director and a language class at the Kyoto International Center for Languages. Living with Japanese families will allow students to immerse themselves in Japanese language, and studying in Kyoto affords a host of cultural opportunities, including visits to some of Japan's premier architectural and historical treasures.
