Mission of Lee Gallery
Our mission is to provide a forum for understanding the impact art has on people and cultures and to expand our knowledge about human development and global awareness.
We accomplish this mission by:
- Complementing and enhancing the educational programs offered by the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities and serving the broader mission of the University;
- Promoting the visual arts through exhibitions that explore contemporary issues in art, cultural diversity, new media explorations, and collaborative approaches to art making;
- Functioning as a cultural resource providing the university and local community with access to regional, national, and international artists;
- Providing visual art of the finest quality and related educational and interpretive programs;
- Serving as a cultural resource for scholars and students within and beyond the University and the upstate South Carolina region.
