The Center will transcend the boundaries of a conventional art
museum and serve as a place where students, visitors and scholars can
engage directly in all facets of the creative process.
It will illuminate the dynamic elements of the visual arts by providing
an opportunity for visitors to take part directly in artistic
production. It will focus equally on the complex factors that influence the exhibition, viewing and interpretation of art.
The Center will be an open door through which visitors will access a
broad range of the artistic and cultural capital flowing through
Clemson, not just in the visual arts, but in the numerous disciplines
that influence their creation.
