Artist Statement

My current work is an exploration of the dichotomy of perseverance of life despite the imminence of death. The various works convey ideas of growth and decay, and predation and vulnerability. Ultimately, I hope viewers will feel a sense of disquiet from the work resulting in a consideration of both the strength and fragility of our natural world and, subsequently, our own human condition.
