Andrew Barrocas, from Miami, FL, is a first-year MAPC student. Andrew graduated from Florida International University in December 2012, with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Certificate in Public and Professional Writing.
While an undergraduate, Andrew participated in various service and volunteer organizations, and tutored rhetoric and writing composition at an inner-city high school for the better part of a year. He also founded and served as Vice-President to Fostering Better Communities, a local community-outreach organization aimed at pursuing and exploring local causes, like homelessness and the environment.
Through working in the MATRF and the MAPC program, Andrew hopes to further pursue his interests in Usability and User-Experience Design, and combine them with his background in service learning and professional writing. Outside of academia, his interests include: exercising, yoga, reading, and listening to music.
