Katy Ross is a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Professional Communication (MAPC) program, specializing in digital publishing and corporate communications. She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and International and a minor in tourism.
Since her undergraduate studies, Katy has worked as an import broker for an international global logistics and freight forwarding company and is currently a search engine optimization writer for an online travel website and international hotels. During her undergraduate career, Katy interned in New York City with the Universal Music Group, specifically with Universal Records, in their strategic marketing department and with Extra, an entertainment television news program.
With a passion for computers and communication, Katy is interested in social media and its effects on the business world today. She has done freelance web design and graphic work, yet looks forward to gaining more knowledge through the MAPC program. During her assistantship in the MATRF Center, Katy will be working with clients over the next year, including the Center for Visual Arts, MRED, CRED, and Historic Preservation sites.
