MATRF
Natalie McGinnis

natalieNatalie McGinnis is currently a first-year student in the Masters of Professional Communications (MAPC)  program. She received her BA  in Communications in 2009 from USC-Upstate where her course emphasis was in Journalism.  Her studies also included coursework in Business Management as well as Sociology.  While completing her undergraduate work, Natalie worked as a Voice and Diction tutor and Teaching Assistant. She hopes to continue her work with peers and professors who desire to modify their speech. She is excited about learning and implementing technology offered in the MATRF such as Audacity to further advance her knowledge and skill set.

Natalie is customizing her graduate program path, so she can be better prepared for entering the job force as a Corporate Culture Anthropologist. She has an interest in developing programs to ease tensions during company transitions such as mergers and acquisitions, so employees feel a greater sense of job satisfaction in uncertain situations. Her goal is to gain experience in the corporate world and eventually return to academia. Natalie will be using skills gained during her work as a lab assistant in the MATRF to develop effective web communications practices as well as various deliverables.  Her current clients include the English Department.
