Chief Executive Officer/Chief Investment Officer, Jackson Oats Shaw Corporate Real Estate
Mr. Jackson serves as CEO and Chief Investment Officer of JACKSON OATS SHAW and US REIT INVESTMENTS, where he is the firms Registered Investment Advisor. Since founding the firm in 2001, Mr. Jackson has overseen its growth into one of Atlanta's largest owner / operators of office related commercial real estate. Mr. Jackson specializes in building income producing portfolios, identifying value add investments and executing risk adverse investment strategies for the firm and its investment partners. Mr. Jackson also oversees the firm’s institutional co-investment initiatives with GE and finance initiatives for the firm’s 43 properties. Mr. Jackson’s past experience includes executive positions at Lincoln Property Company and Jones Lang LaSalle where he oversaw leasing initiatives for such notable clients as JP Morgan, Teachers Insurance and Annuity and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Jackson holds both a Masters Degree in Corporate Real Estate and M.B.A. from Georgia State University. Mr. Jackson completed his undergraduate work at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Real Estate Investment and Finance. Mr. Jackson has been a guest lecturer at Emory University, Florida Atlantic University, Georgia State University and Clemson University. Mr. Jackson also serves on the Honorary Board for the Department of Real Estate at Georgia State University and Clemson University. In 2008, Mr. Jackson was recognized by Institutional Investors News as one of 20 real estate executives likely to impact global real estate markets in years to come.
