As MSTSD’s Director of Design, Larry is the architect with primary responsibility for the design phase of all projects produced by the firm. Projects under Larry’s direction have received design awards from numerous organizations including the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, Urban Design Institute, Atlanta Urban Design Commission, Decatur Historic Preservation Commission, Atlanta Clean City Commission, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Associated General Contractors of America, Associated Builders and Contractors, Georgia ACI, Building Owners & Managers of Atlanta, Brick Institute of America and the City of Raleigh, North Carolina City Council. Larry received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Clemson University in 1974, studied at Clemson’s Center for Building Research and Urban Studies in Genoa in 1975, and received his Master of Architecture degree from Clemson in 1976.
