Recent intern with Diversified Development Inc. in Columbia, SC working on several build-to-suit, brownfield, and urban redevelopment projects. Responsibilities included developing construction and development budgets for projects, designing site layouts and floor plans for potential tenants, determining potential cost savings, and coordinating development tasks with design professionals. Previous experience in the construction industry with M. B. Kahn Construction Company in Columbia, SC both in the field, as well as in construction management. Assisted with educational and commercial sector projects ranging from 10,000 to 400,000 square feet. Projects included renovations and additions, new construction, as well as several green or LEED certified projects. Responsibilities included supervision of construction activities, document controls such as RFI’s, change orders, submittals, and close out documents. Also familiar with preconstruction activities such as estimating, value engineering, and constructability.

Desire to use construction background and experience to pursue multi-family, commercial, and mixed use projects.
