The mission of the Center/MRED Advancement Board is to promote awareness and provide committed resources (financial, intellectual, professional) to maximize the value of the educational experience to the students and other stakeholders at Clemson University. The goal is to build a Center and graduate real estate program that is widely recognized as one of the best in the country.

Expectations of the Center/MRED Advancement Board

Promote the program to help recruit new students as well as place current students in internships and permanent careers. This includes helping to make the students more marketable in the job market. Be willing to help source potential employment opportunities both in your own companies but also through your professional networks.

Act as a sounding board to the Center and the MRED program, advising on curriculum, programs and a research agenda that will help build our reputation as one of the best Real Estate Centers in the country.

Provide professional expertise to insure that the coursework and research is relevant, timely and applicable to the needs of the real estate industry and/or the public at large.

Actively assist in the fundraising efforts of the Center for research and outreach, educational programming and student support as well as help with our immediate goal to raise funds Center facilities. Provide input in to drafting the value propositions, assist in sourcing potential benefactors and in some cases lead the funding request for a new building to house the Center and the real estate academic programs.

Provide assistance in Center/MRED programming efforts including leads for the speaker series, volunteers for bull sessions and guest lecturers in our classrooms, and ideas for other Center sponsored events promoting research and public service efforts.
