Clemson University is a fantastic place to work! This is not news to us, but it comes as yet another unexpected pat-on-the-back from the people outside looking in. According to The Chronicle for Higher Education, our peers have chosen Clemson University as "a great place to work." "Collaborative Governance" is a category we at Clemson University excel in—and should be particularly proud of. The faculty at Clemson University involve themselves in decision-making processes that are usually reserved primarily for the Administration. Opportunity is given to the faculty at Clemson to influence the institution’s academic programs. Dr. Debra Jackson, Vice Provost and Assistant to the President states, "The Clemson administration is not setting policy then dictating it to the Clemson campus—University faculty play a key role in setting the University on its path for success." The involvement of the faculty in academic decision-making processes exemplifies how supportive and cooperative the Clemson family is.
