History & Purpose
Clemson’s College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities and the College of Business and Behavioral Science established the CRED in 2001 to educate leaders who are creating land development in the 21st century. The initial mission has been accomplished — focusing on establishing the University’s Master of Real Estate Development program.
A Resource for Students, the Public and the Industry
The Center creates a rich research, teaching and public service resource for students, consumers, academics and businesses. The CRED has an advisory board that provides counsel in implementing the center’s mission and in enhancing the resource base to support the center. CRED continues participation and involvement in industry organizations, provides a forum for interaction among industry leaders and MRED students and features guest lecturers for the benefit of the MRED program and the general public alike. The mission of the Center is to complement our academic programs by providing research and outreach opportunities that will continue to expand the reputation of Clemson University as a top university in the area of real estate development and real estate related industries.
