Enter the Industry with Confidence

The MRED program knows the value of your Clemson degree and works to help you promote your education, skills and background to potential employers.

Our graduates have obtained excellent permanent positions typically as Development Associates with such firms as Forest City Enterprises, CBL & Assoc., Novare Group, Carter Real Estate, CB Richard Ellis, Spectrum Capital/Yates Companies, Stiles Development, Grubb & Ellis | The Furman Co., Essex Property Trust, and others.

The Center for Real Estate Development Advancement Board and the MRED Program generate contacts and interviews with major employers in the real estate industry. Clemson’s Michelin® Career Center offers programs and services to help all Clemson students identify, strategize and achieve their career aspirations. In addition, the Career Center works with the Graduate School and Graduate Student Government to sponsor workshops.

Members of the MRED advisory board - as well as Clemson alumni and friends in real estate - provide resources for direction, networking and job placement. Academic-year and summer internships are also instrumental in enhancing your experience and creating possible career opportunities.

We provide extensive placement assistance with the help of a professional executive search firm from Houston specializing in the real estate industry including business protocol counseling, resume review, contacts with firms, job hunting strategies and direct consultation with the student during the offer and negotiation process.

Clemson MRED strives to send its graduates into the world with the building blocks to become champions of responsible development and sustainable growth, within the context of economic feasibility and value creation.

From Our Students...

Having a landscape architecture background, I chose Clemson's MRED program instead of an MBA because I wanted to immerse myself in the development industry with a multi-disciplined approach. I took the standard MBA real estate specialization courses—plus all other aspects of the development process. My education and summer internship were vital aspects that created long term value for my current position and future responsibilities.

Charles Rulick, MRED Class of '07
