An Interview with Author Sadie Hoagland

"As an assistant editor of South Carolina Review, I was lucky enough to work on the edits for Sadie Hoagland’s story 'Extra Patriotic,' featured in SCR Volume 51.2. Hoagland recently published a story collection entitled American Grief in Four Stages, which Kirkus called 'a captivating debut [that] probes the trauma of being human . . . assured, haunting, and deeply empathetic.' The following interview was conducted via email over the course of two days in January." —Wesley Kapp
