Education

Dr. Perpich received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago and her B.A. in Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College. Her research interests include contemporary continental philosophy, especially French philosophy and the work of Emmanuel Levinas, as well as feminism, gender and sexuality, social and political thought, and ethics. She is the author of The Ethics of Emmanuel Levinas (Stanford 2008) and is at work on a book addressing the phenomenological contributions to European social and political thought. She is the co-editor of the Journal of French Philosophy and is also co-editing and translating a collection of writings by the French social movement, Ni Putes Ni Soumises. She teaches courses on gender and sexuality, philosophy and technologies of the body, social and political thought, and contemporary continental philosophy.
