Research Areas Include: 1. Ethnobotany of the Cherokee, particularly medical ethnobotany 2. Traditional/Indigenous knowledge surrounding the use of non-timber forest products, ethnoecology 3. Digital Storytelling as a means of 1)disseminating Traditional/Indigenous knowledge, particularly in the culturally collaborative Cherokee Garden; 2)teaching culturally situated knowledge at the intersection of nature, art and science. 4. Knowledge Management systems for storage, transmittance, growth and organization of Traditional Knowledge
