  • Information on a proposed special session "Ecological Engineering Education":

As ecological engineering matures and evolves as a field of practice, more colleges and universities are implementing graduate, undergraduate, and professional development programs to deliver training and expertise in theory and practice. Questions remain as to the appropriate level of training and technical background for various desired educational outcomes in the ecological engineering field. In this session, reports of results from recent surveys of educators and practitioners in the field identifying educational and pedagogical needs will be presented. We invite contributions from practitioners and educators of all levels to present and discuss curricula or educational innovations, practical needs, and anticipated future trends in ecological engineering curricula design and pedagogical delivery. Moderator: David Blersch, Auburn University.
