Alison Tuso

EXPERIENCE: Alison worked as a Packaging Evaluation Technologist at Cryovac in Duncan, S.C. She was involved with shelf life studies which included sensory evaluation work. She also was involved in barrier film, shrink film and laminate evaluation. In 1984 she became employed by Key Pharmaceuticals in Miami, Fl. There she helped evaluate different packaging materials for use in transdermal drug delivery systems. In 1985 Alison became employed by Printpack in Atlanta, GA. She worked for them for over 18 years in the following capacities: Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Process Facilitator, Senior Product Development Engineer and Technical Manager. During her time at Printpack Alison became an ASQC Certified Quality Engineer and was awarded an ExxonMobil Golden Mummy Award, two Keebler Packaging Innovation Awards, A World Star Packaging Award, Two Flexible Packaging Association Awards and an Aimcal Award. Alison and her family relocated to Lake Keowee in Seneca S.C. and she came to the Department in March 2004.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Research Associate for the Packaging Science Department. Responsible for the scheduling of activities and supplies in the DuPont laboratory.

HOBBIES: Water skiing, sailing, boating, hiking, traveling and keeping up with three sons.
