The Cell Biology of Eukaryotic Pathogens Symposium, a joint meeting sponsored by reserachers from the Clemson University Eukaryotic Pathogen Innovation Center (EPIC) and University of Georgia’s Center for Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases (CTEGD), will showcase the cutting edge research of students, post-doctoral fellows, and primary investigators that focus on important emerging pathogens that impact the world.  This daylong meeting will include oral presentations given by graduate students and fellows, a poster session open to all undergraduate and graduate students, fellows, and faculty, and a concluding presentation from keynote speaker Dr. John Perfect from Duke University Medical Center.

Information for ORAL presentations and POSTERS:

ORAL presentations will be limited to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty.  To be considered for one of the oral presentation slots please submit an abstract of no more than 400 words.  Presentations will be 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for questions and answers. 

Abstract Guidelines:
- Limit is 400 words for the body of the abstract text, excluding author and affiliation information.

- Abstract should be a brief but concise description of your work including an introduction of your research question, statement of hypothesis or purpose, approach, experimental results, and conclusions.

POSTERS should be no larger than 48 inches long X 36 inches wide.  Poster presentations are invited from undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty.  An abstract is not required for poster submission but please fill out all other portions of the abstract submission form including poster title and authors.
