The Clemson Equestrian team resides at the Clemson University Equestrian Center. The Clemson University Equestrian Center (CUEC) is located on West Queen Street right next to the T. Ed Garrison Arena. The farm includes two barns, a stallion barn, two riding rings, multiple round pens, and acres of luscious pastures! Not only are we a part of riding the horses, but students are also responsible for the daily maintenance of each horse at the farm. We have a large variety of horses to fit each riding level of our team members. The Clemson Equine Center is primarily a riding facility, but it also functions as a research facility, breeding farm and classroom for the Animal Science department at the University. This gives our team a great advantage to encounter many aspects of the vast horse industry.
CUET is now training full time at the Garrison Arena, which is the show complex on Clemson's campus and is adjacent to the CU Equine Center. Garrison Arena has shows throughout the year encompassing a wide variety of disciplines and breeds. This gives CUET members a first-hand look and interaction with real-world horse show industries and provides professional development for the students in the areas of show management, training and exhibition across a diverse horse industry. Clemson University horses live in residence in the show facility stables during the week and then return "home" to the Equine Center on weekends during commercial events. The Equestrian Team hosts several events at the T. Ed Garrison arena throughout the year including a George Morris Clinic, and two weekends of IHSA shows, packing a total of 4 western and 2 hunter shows hosted by Clemson University into the season's roster.Clemson Equine CenterAddress: 815 West Queen Street, Pendleton, SC 29670Phone: (864) 646-3554
