Biosystems Technology Pathway

The Biosystems Technology Pathway is a new pathway that is being implemented in South Carolina secondary schools through the Agriculture Education program.Teachers learning about biodiesel

The four courses that make up the Biosystems Technology Pathway are:

  • Agricultural and Biosystems Science
  • Biosystems Mechanization
  • Biosystems Technology I
  • Biosystems Technology II

In order to implement the BT Pathway, in-service secondary teachers have participated in Summer Training Institutes at Clemson University for the past two years.  This training, delivered through a graduate course in Agriculture Education at Clemson (Ag Ed 750) provided the teachers with lecture material and hands-on activities for delivery at the secondary level.
