Hartzog Lecture

The lecturer this year is Dayton Duncan, an award winning writer, documentary filmmaker, and the author of eight books, including: Out West: A Journey Through Lewis & Clark's America and Miles From Nowhere: In Search of the American Frontier. He is the writer and producer of Lewis & Clark: The Journey of the Corps of Discovery, a four hour documentary that attained the second highest ratings in the history of PBS. Most recently he is co-producer, writer, and commentator in the new Ken Burns documentary about the National Parks which recently aired on PBS. The title of his lecture will be "National Parks, America's Best Idea."
