INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION

Investigations Division receives all criminal reports filed with the CUPD that require follow-up or further investigation. Within this division is the Student Patrol which serves the community through Tiger Transit, Housing security, traffic and crowd control, building security, campus patrols and crime prevention. The Investigations Division is responsible for providing dignitary protection and coordination. The Investigations Division also coordinates crime victim services.

OPERATIONS DIVISION

Operations Division is the most visible function of the law enforcement agency, patrolling campus by vehicle, foot and bicycle. Three patrol shifts are employed to ensure around-the-clock services. Officers utilize principles of community policing to identify problems on campus and develop solutions that will benefit the community as a whole. Operations Division is also responsible for the coordination of the specialized law enforcement functions such as training, staff planning and allocation for event security, accreditation, Uniform Crime Reporting, Clery Act compliance, personnel, financial management, records management and communications.
