Each year, the Civic Engagement office recognizes the outstanding service initiated by Clemson students. Two awards, "Student Organization of the Year for Exceptional Community Service" and "Outstanding Community Service Collaboration," are given annually to student organizations that have demonstrated exceptional service during the academic year. Award applicants are required to document their service work through ClemsonCounts in order to be considered. The application deadline is Monday, April 8, 2013, 8:00 a.m. Recipients will be honored at the Student Affairs Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, April 24, 6 p.m., Tillman Auditorium.
This award goes to the student service organization that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to service in the community. Criteria include quality and quantity of programs, strength of organizational leadership and partnerships with both off-campus and on-campus groups. APPLY
This award is given based on a partnership that exemplifies the principles of collaboration, reciprocity and common purpose. This can be accomplished through a single project, ongoing projects or multiple programs. The partnership should demonstrate a strong and mutual relationship between a campus entity (e.g., a student organization or campus department) and nonprofit organization. APPLY
