Be a Part of a Tiger Tradition!

It's a Tiger Tradition: Clemson students give back. You can start your Clemson career out right and help local children in need by bringing in NEW school supplies when you check in for June and July Orientation sessions this summer.

  • Backpacks (no wheels)
  • Pencils
  • Pencil boxes
  • Pens
  • Colored pencils
  • Wide ruled notebook paper
  • College ruled notebook paper
  • Folders

After you check-in for Orientation, drop off your school supply donation on the second floor of the Hendrix Student Center in the Gantt Center for Student Life area. The Civic Engagement staff will then work with local United Way agencies to distribute the supplies to children in need in Pickens, Anderson and Oconee counties.

At the drop-off table, you can also buy Clemson t-shirts for only $10 each, and Clemson tote-bags for only $5 each (cash or check only) with all proceeds going to purchase more school supplies. Quantities and sizes are limited.

The Civic Engagement staff at the school supply drop-off table will be happy to answer your questions about how new students can get involved with service opportunities at Clemson. You can also find more information by exploring the links to the left.

More than 42,200 school supplies have been given to local children in need since this program began in the summer of 2006.  Thank you for continuing this Tiger Tradition of helping children in need!
