University Housing

FYE Staff

The FYE staff is available to you whenever you need a helping hand. Each staff member has a specific role in helping you achieve your desired level of success. Ultimately, this is YOUR experience, and we want to find ways to work with you to help you grow, learn, and enjoy your Clemson experience.  The FYE staff has several responsibilities including: maintaining a safe living learning environment, providing educational opportunities and services, serving as a knowledgeable campus resource, and making sure that your needs are being met. There are a number of individuals that serve on our staff.

Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate students who serve as a link between you and the Housing Office. University Housing employs one (or more) RAs for each floor or area. The number one priority is to help make your Clemson experience the best it can be. RAs provide guidance, keep you informed, and help you navigate how to get connected to Clemson. And sometimes, your RA is just someone to listen when you need to talk.

Resident Director

Resident Directors (RDs) are graduate students who live in each housing area and supervise the RAs and desk assistants in that area. They are responsible for the overall management of the residence halls or apartment communities and are the local representatives for University Housing.

And Much More…

In addition to RAs and RDs, there are Area Coordinators who are senior housing officials responsible for overseeing an area of campus.  We also utilize the assistance of Clemson University Police, Control Desk Assistants, Student Patrol, Maintenance Staff, Custodial Staff, and many more.   So remember, there are a lot of people here ready and willing to help out.  Let us know what you need and how we can help you build your own Clemson experience.
