International Programs

ESL Information

There are many opportunities to practice your English pronunciation, conversation and general skills during your time here at Clemson. Take advantage of these opportunities as they are wonderful ways to not only improve your English, but also to provide you with cultural learning as well.

Clemson Cultural Partner Program

This program is operated by International Student Programs. You will be matched with a native English speaker to meet with weekly to practice English and just have fun talking and learning more about each others' cultures. See CCPP's page for more information about the program and how to sign up.

English 111

ENGL 111 is an academic course which counts toward your credit requirements but not your GPA. This class is focused on speaking in academic settings, specifically in giving presentations and is helpful for any major. Students get individualized attention as they work on pronunciation, word stress, intonation, and other areas of English speaking. Contact Caitlin Holmes (cholme2@clemson.edu) for more information.
