Tigers L.E.A.D

Tigers’ L.E.A.D (Leadership, Education, Action, and Development) is a sequential 3 year comprehensive program that is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership. The program involves workshops, community/organization involvement, community service, and an adventurous weekend retreat.
 
*Students who are not a part of Tigers’ L.E.A.D. are still welcome to attend any of the Tigers’ L.E.A.D. Workshops. Please use the links below to register for individual workshops!
 
What do I learn in the Tigers’ L.E.A.D. Program?
Our workshops are based around the 3 dimensions present in the Social Change Model of Leadership.
Level 1 focuses on the Individual Dimension and is focused on self-awareness. In this level, students will learn about what leadership is and begin exploring an understanding of themselves and their potential for leadership. Students will participate in a alues clarification workshop and a leadership styles inventory workshop in addition to learning about interpersonal communication, communication in media, visioning and goal setting and critical thinking. 
 
Level 2 focuses on the Group Dimension and is focused on working in relationship with others. In this level, students will learn about others and how to work effectively in groups. Students will focus on diversity, ethical decision making, and group dynamics.
 
Level 3 focuses on the Community or Society Dimension and is focused on how we work in our communities to create change. Students in this level have the opportunity to learn about the elements of social change, civic engagement, generative leadership through workshops and hands-on experiences in creating change in their community.
 
In addition to workshops what do I have to do to finish the Tigers’ L.E.A.D. Program?
Other elements of the program include:
-Community service
-Organization involvement
-An overnight retreat
-Reflection activities
-Change initiatives in the community
 
How long does it take to complete the Tigers’ L.E.A.D. Program?
Ideally, a student would complete 1 level per year; however, if you have less than 3 years remaining at Clemson, we may be able to devise a way for you to complete the program in less time.
