Intellectual Property Committee

Consists of a chair appointed by the Vice President for Research and Economic Development; the senior contract advisor who acts as secretary; the general counsel or his/her designee; a representative from administration and advancement; an associate dean from each college; one graduate student representing the graduate student government, for a one-year term; one undergraduate student nominated by the dean of student affairs for a one-year term; a faculty representative elected from each college; and the person from Cooper Library identified as patent coordinator serving in an ex officio, non-voting capacity. This committee recommends intellectual property policy to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development; approves or disapproves patent and other intellectual property proposals submitted in accordance with patent policies of the university; and makes recommendations to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
