Introduction to Psychology
ProfileI\'m an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with an interest in issues facing minority groups, disabled individuals, and older workers. Most of my work is conducted in \"real world\" settings with partners such as the ADA Director of Charleston, The Lt. Governor\'s Office on Aging, Goodwill and employment agencies. In terms of teaching, I\'ve successfully developed a hybrid course offering, funded by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
The research that I've conducted involves minority and underrepresented groups in employment settings. Major areas of interest include retirement adaptation and the return to work, unemployment and job search behaviors among minority groups, and the importance of religiosity in coping with job loss.
