Heshan received his Ph.D. degree in Information Science and Technology (with the Doctoral Prize) from Syracuse University in 2007. He also holds a Masters Degree in Information Science from Peking University (Beijing, China, 2002), and a Bachelor Degree in International Economy / Trade from the School of International Business at Nankai University (Tianjin, China, 1999). He worked as an Executive Analyst/Consultant in the e-commerce consulting industry for one year. His research interests include human-computer interaction, post-adoptive system use, trust and e-commerce, and business analytics. His research has been published (or will appear) in journals such as the MIS Quarterly (3 papers), Journal of the Association for Information Systems (2 papers), Decision Support Systems, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology (2 papers), AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Journal of Information Technology Theory and Application, and International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, and proceedings of ICIS, AMCIS, HICSS, PACIS and the Pre-ICIS MIS/HCI Workshop. Heshan is an associate editor of MIS Quarterly. He also sits on the editorial board of AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction (THCI), Journal of Database Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and IT & People. He won the Reviewer of the Year (2011) Award from MIS Quarterly. In addition, he has received or has been nominated for several best paper awards and best reviewer awards. He is ranked 18th worldwide in 2011-2013 on the “Top-100 Rankings of Researchers” list that is based on the six prestigious information systems journals, (http://www.vvenkatesh.com/isranking/RankingsAIS6byAut.asp?RYear=3).
