This year's Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum is scheduled to take place Tuesday, March 4th from 9:00am until 3:00pm at the Hendrix Student Center on the campus of Clemson University.
The ninth-annual event brings over 350 students, faculty and representatives from industry associated with the Clemson University Graphic Communications Department together for a day-long series of presentations and discussions from industry experts about their experiences in the field, their path to their current position, and trends they see for graduates in the near term and beyond.
This year’s Leadership Forum topic is “Focus On Leadership”, so we have invited key leaders from many areas of the graphic communications industry to present on issues that relate to defining leadership roles in an ever-evolving industrial landscape. Presenters this year include: Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus at Rochester Institute of Technology; Simon James, ESKO Graphics, Founder of ArtiosCAD; Pattie Dumas, VP of Marketing & Business Development, HBP, Inc.; Doug Pike, VP of Sales, XMPie, a Xerox Company; Steve Smiley, Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solutions; Neil Waldrop, COO/Owner, Century Printing.
The 9th Annual Bill Treadaway Print Leadership forum is March 4, 2014. For questions or more information about attending, please contact Dr. Eric Weisenmiller, Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum Chair.
Bill Treadaway served as president of The Printing Industry of the Carolinas, Inc. (PICA) for almost 30 years. During that time, he served as a catalyst for many creative ideas and industry support in transitioning the Graphic Communications program at Clemson University from an infant program into the printing education leader it is today.
The Bill Treadaway Endowment for Print Leadership has been established to recognize and honor his lifetime contributions to the Clemson Graphic Communications program and his personal desire to foster industry/education partnerships and develop future printing industry leaders. The endowment will facilitate ongoing cooperation and engagement between printing industry leaders and the Clemson faculty. The centerpiece of the endowment is the Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum which presents timely topics to Clemson students, alumni, and the industry at large. Contributions will ensure the memory of Bill Treadaway, who touched the lives and helped the efforts of so many.
