Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum: "Grow Your Career" • February 21, 2012

This year’s Bill Treadaway Leadership Forum, marks its 7th annual event with a kind of homecoming for many of the presenters. The Department of Graphic Communications has invited back to Clemson some of our best and brightest to speak about their journey from college graduation through their career progression in our industry.

Aptly titled “Grow Your Career,” this year’s panel of speakers, from all areas of the graphics industry, will give us a behind-the-scenes tour of their career paths—from trials to triumphs.

“No matter where you went to school or where you are currently attending, the information they will provide will be invaluable to anyone just starting out”, states Sam Ingram, Department Chair. “We invite all the schools in the region to attend this year's event”

Among those sharing their experiences will be Allison English–Brand Team Leader, Matthews Brand Solutions, James Baxter, Manager Connectivity Client Solutions and Services, International Paper, Kevin Bourquin, Prepress Manager, Cyber Graphics, Jason Barrier, Manager, Corporate Graphic Services, Printpack and Tom Brennan, Director of Operations, Daniels Graphics.

“It will be good to welcome back some familiar faces” continued Ingram, “This cross section of successes, from over the years and even across several generations, will tell their stories of where they are now and more importantly, what it took to get there.“

The 7th Annual Bill Treadaway Print Leadership forum is February 21, 2012. For questions, please contact Dr. Nona Woolbright, Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum Chair.

Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Endowment—The Story

Bill Treadaway served as president of The Printing Industry of the Carolinas, Inc. (PICA) for almost 30 years. During that time, he served as a catalyst for many creative ideas and industry support in transitioning the Graphic Communications program at Clemson University from an infant program into the printing education leader it is today.

The Bill Treadaway Endowment for Print Leadership has been established to recognize and honor his lifetime contributions to the Clemson Graphic Communications program and his personal desire to foster industry/education partnerships and develop future printing industry leaders. The endowment will facilitate ongoing cooperation and engagement between printing industry leaders and the Clemson faculty. The centerpiece of the endowment is the Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum which presents timely topics to Clemson students, alumni, and the industry at large. Contributions will ensure the memory of Bill Treadaway, who touched the lives and helped the efforts of so many.

The 7th Annual Bill Treadaway Print Leadership forum is February 21, 2012. For questions, please contact Dr. Nona Woolbright, Bill Treadaway Print Leadership Forum Chair.
