Entreprenurship and Innovation at Clemson University MBA Program

Are you a creative, energetic leader who would like to launch a business or spark new ideas in the workplace? The Clemson MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation is designed to help you bring your ideas to fruition, whether by starting your own venture, within your current company, or addressing societal needs via the not-for-profit sector.

Real-World Perspective

Classes are taught by a combination of Clemson professors, successful entrepreneurs and business leaders who illustrate real-life examples of how to take innovative ideas to market. Students learn the same business fundamentals as traditional MBA students, and are given the tools to apply these lessons to their innovative passions.

Personalized Mentoring and Networking

Clemson has a community of mentors who have experienced the joys and challenges of business leadership first-hand and who want to help students seize opportunities and avoid common pitfalls. Every student has access to this mentor network which will provide advice and guidance throughout the program.

Clemson EnterPrize Awards

The program culminates with the Clemson EnterPrize awards, sponsored by Certus Bank, which is a three-city tour in which students compete for $40,000 in start-up cash and other prizes to help reach their goals.

MBAe students focused on entrepreneurship have the opportunity to be featured on the new, Clemson entrepreneur-centered crowdfunding website gives students the opportunity to generate interest for their product and build a customer base as they prepare to go to market.

2nd Year Accelerator

Students who complete the full-time program will have the opportunity to compete for one of five spaces in the MBAe Accelerator. Support includes office infrastructure and continued educational programming.

Blended Learning

The Part-Time Clemson MBAe is designed for working professionals who want to earn their MBA quickly, and on their own terms. Most class work is online, and only two weekends per semester are spent on campus. Research from the U.S. Department of Defense and the University of Tulsa shows that a combination of e-learning and face-to-face instruction is 26% more effective than either style of instruction alone.
