Earning an MBA from Clemson doesn't require you to conform to a rigid, arbitrary set of rules and requirements. Instead, we put you in control to create a course of study that fits into your life.
Many paths may lead to your goal, but it is up to you to choose which one you will follow, and how fast you will travel.
Choose to attend classes full time, part time, on the fast-track accelerated program – you can even earn a dual degree. When you apply to the Clemson MBA, our advisers will work with you to design a curriculum that will help you meet your goals, within your time constraints. Earn your MBA your way.
The full-time Clemson MBA is offered in a close-knit environment in which students develop a lifelong network of friends and contacts. Depending on your undergraduate degree and prior work experience, the full-time program can be completed in as little as 12 to 15 months or as long as 21 months. We will encourage you to pursue an internship or participate in a study abroad experience during the summer months.
Part-time, working professional students must have a minimum of two years of work experience, but often have five to 10 years of experience. Students who choose to pursue the Clemson MBA part time can complete the MBA in two to three years by taking two courses per semester; students may accelerate the program to earn their degree even faster by taking additional courses as their schedule permits.
In addition to a core of business foundation courses, both full-time and part-time MBA students select elective courses to build deeper expertise in an area that matches their career goals. Elective courses are offered in the following areas:
Dual graduate degree opportunities (e.g., M.S./M.B.A. or M.B.A./Ph.D.) are available to interested and qualified students. A second master's degree will be substituted for the emphasis area. An MBA and a second graduate degree can be earned in approximately two and a half to three years if the second graduate degree is about 30 hours and classes are taken full time. Students have combined their MBA with graduate degrees such as computer science, packaging science, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, bioengineering, construction science, management and marketing, to name a few. Many combinations are possible.
