Software

Clemson University provides licensure for certain pieces of software that are available to you for use.  If you are running Windows, loading the CCIT Software Center will allow you to install Microsoft Office, Trend Micro OfficeScan, on-campus printers and plotters, and Eduroam wireless: Installing CCIT Software Center.

For Macintosh users, there is a similar installer to help with software. See section CCIT Student Resources for Mac OS X Installers.

Software included in the above installers, and others that are not, can be downloaded individually at CCIT Web Downloads.

Hardware Recommendations

  • Minimum: Dual core processor, 4 GB RAM, 160 GB HD.
  • Dell systems are available through Clemson University with 4-year warranties and next-business-day support. These warranties cover accidental damage.
  • Macintosh systems are also available for purchase at discounted rates.
  • For more information, please see Recommended Laptop Systems Supported by Clemson.

Printing

There is a PawPrints student printer located in room 612. This printer is available to all Clemson students. Graduate students have a print quota of 660 black-and-white pages per semester. To encourage saving paper, a double-sided (duplex) print counts as only 1 page. If you have never used the PawPrints system, please see Installing and Using the PawPrints Printer. For more information, please visit CCIT Printing and Plotting.
